Touche mon ami :D

but I would rather have a British made 4X4 than an American 4X4. i see Jeeps, Blazers, Broncos and stuff everyday here. and i hate them. and the drivers are so arrogant.

i know, just opened myself up to the barrage of insults from across the pond.

nightmare!!!

Have I spoke too soon?????

travelling to work this morning there is a terrible whining coming from the passenger side of the car

Frightened me to death until I remembered I agreed to give the wife a lift to work

Nothing wrong with British design and innovation. The problems come with the bean counters who think that cheap is the answer to everything and do not understand the difference between getting a quality part at a good price and buying crap. LR's reputation is what it is because of poor quality not because of poor original design concepts.

Precisely! Just look at the Defender, virtually unchanged since the original, because it was right from day 1.

Haha, whilst that would be an excellent, albeit somewhat bizarre, way of consolidating one of Britain's finest designs, I think it was much nicer to simply invoke classic British spirit with the motto of Best 4x4xFar :)
