In front of the battery on my 2002 TD4 manual there are three relays, one yellow and the other are blue with integral fuses. Does anyone know what they are for? The yellow one has fallen off and apart, one of the blue ones has melted slightly near the fuse, but all electrical systems seem to work. There are no extra lights etc. the only factory option on the car which is electrics related is a tow bar.

Any suggestions would be appreciated? Thanks

My PTC fuses are beside the engine fuse box.

Are you sure the FL hasn't had some extra lights in the past, even if they are not present now? Look to be in the right sort of place for auxiliary lights.

The bracket the relays are fitted to comes with the LR spotlight kit.
Is it twin electrics on the towing kit?, one could be the split charge relay.

Yellow is for the split charge for the 12S trailer socket

Others not sure - you'll have to trace the wires

the yellow one will be the voltage sensative split charge relay, the blue ones are operated by the voltage sensative relay and the will send a feed to your caravan battery and to your caravan fridge :)

Thanks for that - given that I don't own a caravan I can probably just ignore them...
