The one on the engine was broken on mine so it's no longer there, I'd like to replace it but never found one of the later type.Does anyone else still have the engine acoustic covers on their Range Rover? one on the engine and one by the gear box??

How do you take a picture of something that is not therePictures please!
Mine has neither, I thought it never did, but I'd like to see what they look like, and if they make any difference?

Mine is good for all covers just about
When i bought mine almost 10 years ago, it had all factory covers(under engine and gearbox). Still have engine cover, but it's sitting somewhere in garage. Gearbox one got ripped when offroading long time ago - plastic simply doesn't last it that conditions.
Also sound deadening acts as oil leaks catcher.
Ah, but at least it keeps the garage floor clean!
I haven't even got a battery cover on mine. All that had vanished long before I got it.
Considering a diff guard of some sort having got some mud and grass on the diff this evening!
Would soon get wiped off or covered in mudGoing a bit off topic here but ... it occurs to me that a reverse parking camara mounted underneath on the axle would give a good view of tree stumps and other obstacles when off-road. How you keep it clean is another matter, of course!
Maybe mount a parking sensor on the diff?!
Ah, you need one of the new poncy LR products with terrain response camera'sSomething to see under there would be useful.
I went over a stump and some stuff churned up by a treecutter. Thought the clearance was tight but it was a bit mucky out so didn't fancy creeping forward and climbing under for a look. Crept forward with a slight scrape but when I got back home I noticed a fair amount of mud and turf stuck in the shock bolt and assocuiated areas! Sump and diff still there so not all bad.
