Hi,

Does anyone know (or has tried) if you can fit a Schrader valve to the EAS compressor pipe as a temp fix for failed compressor? Need to get to Bournemouth on Monday for work.. Car is full of materials and equip to do the job, so has to get there or there'll be blokes standing around cursing Range Rovers till I get there...

Car isn't on bump stops yet but will be eventually..

It is entirely possible...Gooooooogle MARS emergency inflation kit.

You need to pull out all four air bag feed lines from the valve block and put a Schraeder valve on the ends. They are available on eBay.

Then inflate evenly.

Yeah, I've seen those but I won't get one bought and installed by Monday morning. I could however get a valve and try to install in pipe today. Just don't know if it would be a waste of time..

I'm figuring that you may only be able to fill tank when EAS is actually calling for air?

What I really need is new compressor today:(

Not saying to buy one, just showing yu the principle that it is possible to do such, if you can get valves and pipe today, make your own system.

Yep understood, I meant no offense.

Was thinking about the brass fittings that are on compressor is all. Won't be able to get the speed coupling type bits to fit to air pipes today, but could maybe rob a valve from a tyre or something and solder (or whatever) into compressor fitting..

You would do better putting a straight connector on the end of each of the 4 airbag lines and then putting a valve on the end of each. Don't chop the ends as they have a little flange on. When inflating put 50psi in each bag then add 10psi a time to each bag until you get to the right height. Finally, pull the delay timer to stop it running the compressor.

Think someone on your other thread said they had a spare nearer you.
