Hi guys,

Bit ****ed off at the moment, as done a deal with a fellow landyzone'er, but seems to have disappeared after i made the payment. Well not exactly.... He tried explaining to me that the part was accidentally sent back to him and then he sent it back to me. I think he used TNT. He said he'd call them first thing in the morning to see what was going on, as I hadn't recieved it after a week and the he said he'd give me the tracking number. Anyway it's been more than 2 weeks now and I still havn't heard from him. I've tried PM'ing him on here 2 or 3 times, but he hasn't been online since the 14th May. The last time I sent him a message. Just seems odd, as he even suggested I go over and pick it up from him, which i would have done if I had the time! Apparently he's in Norfolk and his username on here is BSL739. Obviously I could just be jumping to conclusions and he might just be on holiday or something. Even so....
Just a heads up if he tries selling a landy part to you on here, probably best to stay away. Also if anyone has any leads on him... his address/phone number etc etc...Anything would be helpful! Cheers guys!

Would this be the bulkhead?

One of the good reasons to use forums for buying and selling is that there is some transparency to the deal .. anyone can see who bought what off of whom, when you 'do a deal' then there's little to nothing anyone can do to follow anything up, there's no record of what you, he, or anyone said. As it is, we only have your word for it that there's an issue.

Wow. Looks like I could have some fun here boys! Thanks for the effort already. Just had a quick look at his fb page. He told me he lives in Long Stratton. Would certainly be worth calling the museum and if I get trouble there... Then I think a little visit is in order! Paul D: Nope not bulkhead thank god! He said he had a mint condition front panel for series all primed and ready to fit. I tried getting a pic from him, but apparently his link didn't work.

Wish I had seen this before I sent him £300 for an engine advertised on gumtree (not a Land Rover one)
Made out he had a business and said he would send out by pallet within 2 days.
Gave me his supposedly company Bank details to transfer the money into, which included the freight cost. Once he had the money in his account he gave various excuses for not sending then said it was sent but wouldn’t acknowledge any messages when pressed for delivery company name or tracking number. Messaged him to say I was contacting fraud department and police and actually managed to contact his father through the museum, he was very sympathetic and helpful and said he would pass my message on to him.
He obviously did and I then received a very abusive call from Arran MacHaye.
To cut a long story short Gumtree have closed his account and their fraud department are liaising with the police. Don’t hold out much chance of any money back but hopefully this info saves anyone else being scammed.
Ps. I have an address and Mobile number for him if anyone requires it.

Not much help to you on afraid :(

His Dad is a Landy enthusiast and seems a very nice bloke. I hope no-one takes what this lad has done as a reflection on his family or the museum.
