from paddocks spares - Intertia Lap and Diagonal Belt for outer front seats of Series hardtop vehicles.
Brand: Securon
£23.14 Ex VAT Inc. VAT: £27.77
Part Number SEC50030
opened the box and read the intuctions.... this seat belt has to be fitted in a vertical position only or it does not f...ing work. ie; in line with the upper bracket mount, which means manufacturing brackets on top of and at an angle to the rear series 3 bulkhead while tying not to foul the reel on the front seats.
instead buy this one wish i had (hindsight, bugger) securon 264 or 254 where the retractor angle is any position or adjustable
you see them on
http://www.securon.co.uk/seatbelts_layouts.htm#all
why paddocks sell the one above and reccomend it for series vechicles f8£4 knows it will fit but..............................
someone answered the phone at paddocks (3 rounds of 5 minutes ringing, persistence pays) only to be told these seatbelts sec50030 i bought are no good and will only fit to preinstalled brackets. so the ones i'v got are no good and if i phone back again! they will give a returns number. thanks mate three questions
1; why is this not made clear on the website before ordering
2; why don't they just sell the fit at any angle/adjustable seatbelt in the first place then no complaints
3; why did i not find this out for myself before clicking/buying, so only got mesel to blame in the end. eh
i could make a bracket but it would mean getting out the welder and the 9" grinder "all good fun" and making something that when installed would just get in the way of the seats and body bolts.
and why fit inertia belts in the first place my kids love the landy but hate being wrapped round three times in the static belts just so they fit em
so sending em back and gonig for a drive to calm down
