I find it runs down the gap between van sides and tub, then drips in behind the door seal. A squirt of mastic solved mine but parking nose up also stops it.

My S3 truck cab leaks on the driver side (LHD), but is bone dry on the passenger side. Should I worry? 
On a more serious note, my doors have seen better days and I first thought about following in the footsteps of Steamwally. But, since I don't know how to weld, the option is to treat myself and get all new & complete doors from SP-4x4. Now, over to the negotiations at the dinner table...

I'm replacing all the body and door seals on mine during the rebuild and I bet it will still let water in somewhere

I always had a puddle in the drivers footwell after rain, it doesn't seem to leak so much now but I don't know why. To be honest, I worry more now about it not leaking than I did about it leaking.
