Hi all is it poss to fit day time running lights to my 2000 disco 2 td5 using the fuse box relay ? ie just wire in the lights and put in a relay ??

I recently did this on my 2001 D2.
You will also need the XBL100200 DRL resistor that fits behind the LH headlight. You might have to turn on the DRL option with a Nanocom.

Np.... glad to help.
I should have mentioned... make sure you have the wire connector with the jumper inside the area of the LH headlight. Mine was hidden under the wire bundles. This connector is where you will remove the jumper wire (mine was blue) and connect the DRL resistor.

Chers just got this disco 2 200 td5 as transport for my disabled wife easier to get in and out been around farm landy,s for years now have to try and remember all that I have forgotten lol Rebuilt a old series 1 land rover when I was at school as a project every nut and bolt rebuild including making bushes .

Would have been but my son has given me some high power LED side light bulbs which give out a bright light and are legal easier and cheaper solution to DRL

I'm interested! Is it a low powered dip beam?
Yes. The DRL works at, I’m guessing, half the voltage than dip beams. So half the illumination “and” the rear illumination lights aren’t on for a proper DRL system.

I’ve got LED bulbs and they still work well as DRLs.
