ffs, climing rop is expensive, just use common towing rope, most people usually have some of that laying around

the safety area has red and white warning barriers, thats all you need

you dumbass Sirus

I have 150 metres of 9mm and 200mtrs of 11m climbing rope which I no longer use for climbing. So would I be ok to use this? as I've already paid for it and won't be using it for climbing anymore. If so this would save me having to steal anymore ropes from under peoples front seats.

Have you stopped doing church roofs then??

redhand, wrap the 11mm around the 9mm making it 20mm as it will be significantly stronger

wouldn't that be a 20mm x 11mm oval. surely if I plaited 3 lengths of 11mm together this would give me a rope that was closer to 22mm

However as I once towed a transit pickup 50yards, with all four of it's wheels seized up using an 11mm climbing rope attached to me 110. and it didn't snap I think a single length of 11mm may be more than adequate for bonnet removal purposes.

my battery is under the seat. Can i use that?
What about left hand drive vehicles?
not really as you would then have to find a piece of rope to wrap around the front pulley. so you could pull that in order to get the landy to move. sortta like a recoil starter on a small engine.

well what am i gonna due with this battery now?Maybe its a optional extra to swap the standard bonnet removal rope with a battery!

can i go climbing with my bonnet removal rope or do i need a health and safety barrier?

I wonder if this method would be suitable for the stubborn taper on my windscreen wipers. I strayed here by accident and am in awe at the constructive innovative workarounds.

I guess you guys have never tried breaking a kevlar climbing rope then .....

Get a bit .... be absolutely amazed. I know I was.

I keep a sixty foot length in the back of the Disco.

Learn how to tie "easy out" knots for tying kevlar ropes.

Problem is there aren't many knots that will undo once they've towed a stuck vehicle. I tend to use 4 or 5 hitches in each end of the rope. as these are about he only ones that will undo.

I see a cue for another review:- Knot that can be undone after pulling 2 tons of metal out of mud :D
