It wouldn't cure in this dismal weather, just leaked out of the hole even after sitting outside in the light for 3 hrs.
Got an indy coming round maybe Tues, £35.
MOT booked Thursday morning 10am.
Who dares wins:rolleyes:

Needs strong UV light at this time of year.
In summer - on the occasional sunny day - the opposite can be a problem, unless you shade it it cures too fast.

You've actually just given me a lightbulb moment. I tie my own fishing flies - trout, pike & sea - and I've been playing with the UV fly-tying resins for a couple of years. Much better than the 2 pack epoxy glues as they cure pretty much instantly when a UV light is shone on them so you don't have to sit there turning the fly for 5 minutes to stop the epoxy sagging.
First one I bought came with a little AAA battery torch. Does the job, but a bit slow as it's a bit small.
Not having used it for a while I'd completely forgotten I've got a much bigger one in the screen repair kit!

Duchess, my P38 is now ready for her first MOT in around 4/5 yrs. I've just remembered I have chip in the windscreen that I'd forgotten about, it will fail on that. I read a post from I think @Rubberknees or @tomcat59alan about a chip repair kit they used that gave good results but I can't find it now:rolleyes:.
It's great to hear that your P38 is almost ready for its MOT! Addressing the chip in your windscreen before the test is a smart move. While I can't provide the specific post you're looking for, you might want to consider searching for chip repair kits online that have garnered positive reviews. Reputable brands like Crack Eraser crackeraser.com offer kits that can help you effectively manage windshield chips, potentially saving you from a MOT failure. Best of luck with your preparations for the test, and I hope you find the solution that suits your needs!
