I was looking at the mantec 1's but really can't justify the cost, but could really do with 1.

Has anyone made 1?

Done similar for my Defender, but on the cheap, ie free, and not as high!!

School table cut down, I kept meaning to swap the table top to reach each side, but honestly, the sides work well for storing, on the right, my cooker and two chairs, on the left a tow rope and a couple of strops and shackles in a box. I used Weldmesh fence panel for the dog guard. I could easily add a frame to put a higher shelf in, but this works for me.

Did similar when I had the Disco, but with fold-out wooden sections to make a full bed for camping .. :)

It's the top shelf i'm looking at making, I've already made my boot shelf

but really want to get some extra storage above ... need to make sure my dog has enough room between them too

Made one for my 90 using a second hand dog Guard and some Ali u channel. Works a treat cost me 45 to make inc the dog guard

Not the barest picture but hope you get the idea.back of the rack sits in the u channel.the old mounts are used with some steel brackets the whole thing can be removed in five mins or so if needed.

I just laid 2 sheets of MDF across the wheelarches and put some cheap plastic storage boxes underneath. The full width sheet didn't fit through the back door, so I cut it short by about 6 inches and glued rubber matting to both bits, which worked like a hinge. Cheap but effective!

Ah, I like that .. ;)

I'd maybe use another table frame (I'm a school caretaker) welded/bolted to the bottom one and add a wire mesh basket ... can't be hard to form a basket ;)

Or use 1" square tubing, easily cut and welded or bolted for a frame.
