I was considering purchasing a dent puller from ebay or aliexpress. Just wondered if anyone had any comments on how effective they are - will use on a couple of vehicles and the fridge.

The Disco 2 dent is the one I want to remove first - it is on the bonnet - flat section of the bonnet with no crease lines and no paint damage, 1-2mm deep oval depression about 1.5cm long and 1cm wide. Of course being an aluminium bonnet I wonder if that presents an added difficulty?

I was going to use the toilet plunger but thought better to use something a bit more professionsl - one of those trigger style dent pullers. Any thoughts?

Cant you push it from behind if on the bonnet?

Might try a push from behind for the bonnet. Other vehicles have dents that aren't on the hood so if someone can recommend a dent puller that would be good. A basic dent costs c.S120 to remove (mobile dent removers).

Trouble with ally is it stretches for a pastime. You might end up with a lump instead of a dent! Depending on how deep it is you could simply sand it all back, fill it, etc etc. But in Oz where it gets hot, you'd have to do a real good job.
I have never tried to sort out a dent on ally so don't take my word for it. you might be lucky and it might just pop back into place.
Best of luck with it, it must be annoying to look at all the time.
