Hello,
Well a friend has been helping me work on the hevac for the last couple of weeks, we keep running into brick walls and eventually getting over, around or simply through them!
We're at the point of thinking we may not have done the pots right inside the motors when we replaced them.
Additionally, it seems that the heater unit and its various flaps and levers were probably taken apart once before and not put back right. My friend who is working on the car now had a few questions and has taken a photo. Please help!
"Looking at th distribution flap . Hmm. On the photo you can see the amount of Grease on it, but its really sticky so the wrong grease!
Also I reckon the flaps werent in the correct place when it was put back together, so it can never work properly.
Can you check on the forum if there is an easy way to work out how to set the flaps and put the piece you see back in again without having to remove EVERYTHING!
Also youll see on the photo unknown a and b. Have no idea if they are meant to connect to something or not. If so , have no idea where.
The top cog was stiffish to turn by hand. Havent managed to turn the cog near the driver yet, will remove the switch panel first.
Also can anybody tell us which cog/ lever does what."
