mi sen ad put spacers in,n get +2" shocks or if ya goin fa mor than a 2" lift ya mite need t mek som drop shock mounts.then ya could use standard or +2" shocks n extend ya bump stops.

spacers work pretty well. mines homemade spacers (box section steel) and lowered shock mounts. also disco rear springs on front, and 110 rears on the back i believe.

it can be done for next to nothing

I beg to differ ... spacers don't 'work well' at all. All they do is lift the spring a tad higher and do nothing for suspension travel .. similarly dropping the damper does the same thing, and in the end you've squashed the available travel slightly, not increased it! Just 'cos you've dropped the dampers doesn't mean you've increased travel, it just means there's more droop available, but 'cos you've lifted the springs that droop has already been limited 'cos the springs only stretch a finite amount too.

Your mods are purely cosmetic, yes they lift the vehicle slightly, visually, but really you gain nothing and in fact lose something along the way ... and anyone who knows anything about Landrovers knows you've done a cheap lash-up rather than improved anything ...

i aint gonna argue - ur right

apollo88 only asked about lifting and not travel tho

mine does have longer springs, so a slight increase in travel. the spacers help for bumper & sill ground clearance. it works well for me as iv never needed a huge amount of travel
