After purchasing a set of wheels and tyres from ebay for my Disco 2, i was like a kid at Christmas waiting for their arrival only to find when trying to fit them that there aint no way they belong on that car. They were advertised as Discovery 2/ P38 wheels but the distance between the stud holes are different and they take a completely different nut as well.the tyre size wasnt specified in the sale but they are 215/65/16. They are original L/R wheels but what the hell do they fit?????. I should get the issue of a refund sorted tomorrow all being well, negative feedback is a wonderfull thing. Any help gratefully appreciated, as i might end up selling them on and wouldnt dream of mis-selling them to someone else. Cheers!!!!

pictures? the stud holes are they too close together or too far apart, too far apart would be disco 1 era too close together would be freelander

Disco wheel.jpg Nice wheels, guess i should have looked closer at the tyre size!!

It looks exactly like that one thanks. Oh well you live and learn, if i dont get a refund i'm sure i can make a bit of profit as i paid £195 for five inc postage. Thanks for the help!!

i would say a gaylander aswel looking at them, you will get sorted if you used paypal, the item is "not as described".

Yeah, PayPal can scoop your money back for you.

Proper dunse whoever sold them to you.

Having said, six of one... :D

I agree, get a refund from the seller, you are not going to make any money on those wheels and tyres. Most freelander owners getting new alloys would want 18" wheels. the 16" alloys are almost worthless 2nd hand.
One other thing to think about, around 2001/2002 LR changed the size of the disc brakes in the freelander so the early 16" alloys wont fit the latter vehicles so if are going to sell them on you would need to find out what year of car they came off.

Easy way out is to refund.

If you aim to make a profit and get it wrong, which often happens, then you're double troubled!
