hi can anyone please shed some light my discovery td5 facelift feels though its sluggish and down on power and on hills especially when towing pedal to the floor sometimes I know these aren't formula one but feels like something's missing serviced every year currently on 119k thanks

Hi. Unplug the MAF and drive it so...if it's better you need a new genuine one. Clean the MAP sensor. Did you check the ECM red plug for oil? on facelifts another common issue is clogged catalyst... though there are some more issues which can be revealed only with a diagnostic tool on live data, also do this simple check to rule out low fuel pressure Check Td5 fuel pump HP

Hi fery thanks for reply new maf last year though not genuine was sieman / Lucas I remember high pressure fuel pipe to tank chaff through last year and replaced and serviced with new fuel filter not checked red plug or map yet as currently away with disco and caravan was when noticed issue as it runs fine otherwise

If you tow and the tyres are bigger than standard too while it's not remapped then what you experienced might be normal

Hi yes towing tyres are standard 255/55r18 not remapped was thinking either turbo pipes but got no black smoke or turbo modulator an pipe work need to de-egr as well

Even if no black smoke squeeze the turbo pipes with your hand and if they are soft it means they are delaminated so there is a boost drop caused by that... and if the EGR is still on you definitely have to clean the MAP sensor

Thanks fery I'm back home at the weekend so will look more indepth into issue also will plug in my hawkeye see if anything pops up cheers
