I've just gone through this myself, as I had water running down the front roof curtasy light, which then dripped all over my radio, gear knobs, top of my dash, legs. etc etc..... !!!!!
If you just unclip the head lining from just around the sunroof, you'll have enough room to look (with a torch if it's getting dark) to the front 2 corners of the sunroof inner tray.
You should see the 2 rubber pipes connected to the inner tray.
Mine were both snapped off !!!!!!!!!!
I reacon it's a design problem, with the heavy pipes vibrating and pulling the plastic nipples their attached to in the corners, untill the nipple snaps off.
It took me about 1 hour to repair this, all you need is some super glue, and some clear bathroom sealent.
You need to unscrew the hand grab handles above the front doors.
Unscrew the light / sun visor plastic thing.
Pull the head liner down enough above the doors to get your hand in to the front corners of the sunroof tray.
I got the pipes and gave them a blow to make sure they were clear.
Then mate the end of the pipe back up to the broken nipple. (you'll see the broken nipple still in the end of the pipe)
Then rotate the pipe untill you feel the 2 broken ends match up, make a note of the rotation position so you can put it back again when you've applied the glue.
Apply the glue and stick it back on and hold until it bonds. (Then try and get your fingers off without ripping off your finger tips
)
When its stuck back on, get a load of bathroom sealent and cover the end of the pipe / nipple / corner of the tray.
I did this so when it had dried, it would get rid of the vibration.
If the pipes still attached, then it's likely to be the sun roof seal.
Not a such a big job really.
I just pulled out the rubber seal, you have to put the electric sunroof into the tilt position, then open it all the way to get to the other side of the seal.
I then got the wifes vasaline ( SSSSHHhhhhhh......) and gave the seal a good rubbing with it to get some elasticity back into it.
Then used bathroom sealent again and put this in the seals positioning well in the sunroof..... after cleaning out the seals positioning well first of course.
Then replaced the seal... again you have to move the sunroof back and forth to get to all the seal.
Then give the seal a good wipe to make sure it's seated. close the sun roof and leave down for a day or two, until the sealent has dried.
Mines been done for 3 months now, and hasn't leaked since, and with our lovely summer ;( ... it's been well tested.
God, i just wrote more than I have in years....
Brains hurting now...
Going for a beer...
Hope this helps...
