Hello everyone!
I have a problem with the Discovery 2 TD5 auto spluttering on high revs and cutting out whilst driving and to try and fix the problem I have
1. Replaced injector seals and washers with genuine
2. Replaced fuel pump with VDO
3. Replaced fuel filter housing
4. Waste gaste moves freely
5. Replaced fuel filter
6. Replaced wiring loom
7. Cleaned red ecu
8. Cleaned crank sensor

Even after all these replacements the car still splutters when I drive over 50mph or accelerate with high revs.

Any ideas what it could be ?

Thanks for the reply I have drove the car without the maf sensor and the problem still occurs , car also has egr delete

My bad, if I keep the car at a steady 2500rpm if feels like Asif it's getting staved from fuel and splutters and starts cutting power and when I come to a stop the car shakes like it's going to cut out but if I drive under 2500 the car is fine. So weird . I think it could possible be the fuel pressure regulator as it's the only part that hasn't been changed in the fuel system ??

It sounds to me like over fuelling which the ECM reads and then cuts the fuelling due to a problem with the wastegate..
You say you've changed every part in the fuel system but fuel, plus air = big bangs.
So still the Map/Iat sensor.
But have you tested the fuel pressure. And I'm aware you have replaced the pump. But they can be finnicky with bleeding etc.

I have lubricated the waste gaste and it does move freely now.
I haven't even thought about the map/iat sensor so I'll ask my mechanic about this.
I changed the pump last week and I have primed it over 50 times so far

My mechanic said it could be either the 1. fuel pressure regulator
2. Foot pedal accelerator
3. ECU

I'm not very good with car mechanics so you will have to bare with me till I get info of my mechanic

It could also be slight air leaks somewhere in the fuel system so it is sucking in a bit of air along with the fuel.
@sierrafery is really your man on all this so hopefully he'll jump on and give you some of his wisdem.
Best of luck!

Guys today I removed the maf , map and ait sensors cleaned them with contact cleaner and still stutters after 2000rpms . Driving in gear over 2000rpm before the next gear change it starts stuttering like it's getting no fuel but if I accelerate fast from 0 it will go over 70/80 no problems.

Firstly you need sensor cleaner not contact cleaner for the MAP/AIT as contact cleaner leaves a film on it that you don't want. ditto the MAF prolly.
Secondly no amount of cleaning a faulty sensor will help.
Thirdly you may as well just disconnect the MAF.
But I think you have another problem as your accelearation test from 0 implies that in some ways it's OK.
Live data diagnostic called for I think as prolly @sierrafery suggested.

One of my friends recommended a guy who plugs his laptop into the discos so probably gonna have to give him a visit soon , I read some things about faulty intercooler hoses ?

Might replace the fuel pressure regulator as it's the only thing I've not changed so hope that does something

No, you still haven't changed the MAP/Iat sensor.
This is at least the 3rd post saying this.
Not saying this absolutely is your problem, but you will get picked up on this sort of thing.
And I am particularly hard on it as it was what sorted the rough running on mine this last year.

Ok so cleaning didn't work guess it's time to buy new part, When buying the parts shall I go for oem or genuine

Map - oem or genuine
Iat - oem or genuine
Wastegaste solenoid - oem or genuine

I don't get this, the MAP/Iat is one single unit!
Mine is Bosch, the previous one was Bosch. Cost about £80 I think.
But DO get some live data from a foxwell or a nanocom or a hawkeye or summat to get to the bottom of what the fault is.

I get you now, when I removed the map it was a Bosch brand, didn't look to bad to be honest . Today whilst driving on the motorway it wouldn't let me go past 30/40 so as I got off I removed the fuse F2 in the engine fuse box and it didn't judder but I will have to drive again on the motorway to test this properly
