Hello
I have just joined, although had previously been a member when had a freelander. I've since changed my car and my email etc so was easier to just re-join today.

I wonder if anyone has any suggestions regarding my Discovery Sport HSE Automatic - 2016 model.

I have had it about 9 months and no problems. It has just over 50,000 miles on it.

I used it yesterday and no issues, no strange noises or behaviours!

This morning I went out and got in the seat and when i touched the steering wheel it wouldn't move right or left and made a juddering sensation and a bit of a high pitched noise.

I've turned it off and had a look through the manual in case it is something simple but nothing is jumping out at me? Any ideas from here - or should I just contact the local LR garage?

Thanks

Not having one here is my apparently dumb question.
Is it electric power steering?
If so, you could try just disconnecting the battery waiting a bit then reconnecting it. Following all the necessary protocols.
This worked on my wife's Pluriel with electric power steering.

Thanks. I will have a look at the manual but seem to be coming across various threads where the steering rack can be problematic for Discoverys
thanks for your suggestion
