Reviving a very old thread here but i have just bought a disco and need to do the sills, any idea where i can buy cheap 120mm x 60mm box section?

Prices seem very steep on ebay once you factor in postage

Try a local steel stock supplier if possible. You should only need 100x60x3 for most upgrades.

Don't know down there,
Find an industrial site with a few engineering firms on and ask them, that's how I found a couple up my end

They were on ebay for £18 each plus £6 postage.

I got mine from metal supermarket 100x60x3.2mm.had change out of £40

Another revival of this magic thread, I've just started to replace my cills yesterday but I am really unsure on what to cut away and what to leave. The main problem I am having is that there are 2 brackets, at the front end of the passenger side, and probably the same at the other side
Should I just cut through them and weld them back on to the new cill or do I leave them as is and make the cills shorter by about 75mm??????

I can't seem to get the old cill out from under the floor either but that I can work around.
