Im thinking of buying another land rover I want something a bit more comfortable for long journeys I was thinking possibly about a discovery or a range rover what do people recommend looking at spending about £3k, Ive got a series 3 88 on the road (should I just put overdrive and different seats into the series) and a 100 hybrid which should be finished in a couple of months

Buy a disco. I bought both on a 3k budget and personaly think the disc is more comfy.
you have more room in the drivers seat

, TD5 for £4.5k is is fooked? ... this is wrong sorry as pointed out by redhand there is quite a few around for this money

Loads of TD5's around for that sort of money now. Prices have been falling for the last year or so.
