you mean this post spence? ;)

os coil spring corroded
ns coil spring corroded

oil leak
very happy indeed

main problem i had before mot was the common arch rust both sides
so off to halfords i went got me self some of Davids fibre glass kit less than a £10. under seal olywax, rust eater treatment and a few hours cleaning crap from arch

starting attacking rust clean off all **** bits that fall apart then treat
with rust eater leave to dry. then mix resin and hardener be quick in this process and wear some gloves if ya cant be arsed with sticky fingers, paste the inside of arch making sure fibre glass pieces are cut in easy strips.do one layer until is stuck on its own.leave to dry then put another layer on top of that one to build strength and cover holes then whip wheel off do other side if needed under seal bottom then from the top start adding body filler let it go off over night next day either sand down spray it paint it primer it lick it wash it ha ha or what ever you want as long as it passes mot who cares

why weld when fibre glass will get it through mot:cool:

Sounds like a real solid disco you have there  think Pikey had the right comment.

so this bloke has really fibreglassed a structural area and he's selling it for other people to carry their kids around in maybe... what a tosser

not sure the arches are structural, iirc the belts are secured through elsewhere but it still doesnt change the fact he is trying to offer a solid car that is a badly patched up rust bucket with more fibreglass than a reliant robin ;)

:pop2::pop2::pop2::pop2: Seems alittle silly to try sell your car in the same place that you have posted with botch job repairs

Akshuwally the seatbelt static end bolts to the wheel arch just below the level of the rear seat squab. and the spring loaded reel end fastens to a frame which is in turn welded to the wheel arch. behind the seat. the clasps and middle lap belt bolt thru the rear floor to a swivel pin on the chassis.

oh by the way to !!!! structural area is slam panel chassis also body work is different ask mot staion why would they sell kits for car body work if its not ment to be used ??? check the back of tin

its sold now any way taken £900 for it ball bags

Well I hope the guy who bought it reads this thread and comes round to have a chat with ya.:D Cos I know what I'd do to ya head if ya'd sold the pile of ****e to a friend or relative of mine. Ya fooking waste of air.

so why do discos fail with big holes in the arches then? from what your posts state there was no tin left to check on the back of your fibreglassed rust bucket :p

See above post on seatbelt location ****wit. it's designed for repairing dents or holes in non structural bodywork If you'd read the fooking tin yu'd ov seen the disclaimer. Any corrosion within 30cm of a structural component is an mot fail and the only authorised repair is a seam welded patch...

I think that somebody is going to be very upset should they read this. Having said that there was a clause in the sale(you can have it for £900 but you can't ever go on landy zone).
