Some advice please ? :)

Hi I have a 1989 3 dr discovery 3.5 manual 150 k ( good engine and box) poor body ...difference is it is RFL and MOT Exempt ......any idea what this would be worth?

Appreciate any advice as having to give up storage and sadly it needs to go.

Many thanks.

Limited use status on V5 tax and MOT exempt

Is it possible to re-register for road use?

Cos that wouldnt be worth fortunes if it was full road legal. And I cant imagine it would have any more than scrap value like that!

Thanks for clarification , the limited use status transferred to me with ownership 2 years ago looks like engine out and rest to big discovery scrap yard in the sky

cheers

If it's a 1989 car, you might find someone will restore it- or at least take it on as a project. After years of zero value, the D1 is definitely starting to appreciate in value and if I were to restore one, I'd go for the oldest I could find!

That was my intention regardless of the mot status ,its a manual V8 3 Dr , can't be many of them left, my problem is I have to give up my storage by end of January.

Cheers

Do. The early cars did have some different parts, like the dashboard without the side vents. I'm sure someone on here (or ebay..) will be interested. There is a Discovery Owner's Club but I'm never sure if they're still going- their forum never seems very active.

Bare in mind if it doesn't have an MOT it will be worth scrap value only. You'll struggle to get over 3 or 400 for the whole thing

Before you do, post up another 5 posts to save you falling foul of the 50 post rule to sell stuff :)

Now if you had put each of those statements in a separate post you'd have just got over the 50 mark!
