Hi people
just finished the rear ace conversion on my 52 plate disco with fit and forget fittings the cost of this was around £180 because its from 316 stainless pipe and fittings mild steel ones make it cheaper no silly plastic things bolts straight on to original components and takes around 90 minutes to fit have some pics to show anybody interested in buying part or all from me contact thru here ok

ps forgot to mention the flexy hoses are very high spec hydraulic items. Im thinking of remanufacturing the valve block with hydraulic conex fittings for front as well as a service exchange item can use aeroquip hose as well but at a cost?
 
its about time some one started making a kit i think if you put some on ebay then you will do well i too have fitted new (good second hand) and i have tapped the vale block if i had not done this then i would have had a kit

Would like to see if you can do something for the front side of the ACE valve block too, and SS pipes between the block, pump and front ram./

Complete fit and forget ACE kit might well be worth it!

That looks like a very nice bit of proper engineering there sibbo.

did you make this up yourself? How is the block attached to the ace valve block, gasketing etc? What flexible pipe work did you use? the land Rover ones are thin walled and I would be a bit scared of changing to plant/industrial style twin wire hose. I have spliced in a new flexi from the pump using mild steel compression fitting but the system is a tad noisier with the thicker hose. Just tell us as much as you can, probably not much if you want to sell them though.

Unfortunately, the people in the country who know how to do things right don't work for LR, or we wouldn't have had the abortion of ace connectors in the first place!

the flexie pipe that is used just before the actuators is alot smaller diameter that the 3/8" pipe that is on the rest of the system i had 1 repaired when i fitted a set of second hand pipes the steel pipes reduce in size just as they enter the flexi pipe the repaired pipe ended up the same as the original pipe at the side of it

i had the flexy made up for me from r2 hydraulic hose with big banjos on and 10mm stainless pipe and fittings the ally bit i cnc machine myself
