hi mate

sorry for the daft question but is that a different test plse as see some on the D3 forum do an injector leak off test where they have the unit where it shows the quantity of fuel from each injector

Many thks and once again apologises for the daft question
No question is a daft question Gary.
From memory, spill measurement on these injectors isn't a reliable way to test them, as they're designed to spill an amount of fuel anyway.
The best test is to use the IID to check the compensation values. IIRC the higher the compensation figure, the worse the injector is.

Hi Guys
I was a HGV mechanic from 1984-2000 so I do have some knowledge but I have no experience with OBD.
I had a mobile guy come today who suspects high pressure pump, he probably is right but I realise there could also be some other reason causing my cranking but no start condition. Originally he said it's the ECU but then said he doesn't think it is that and said it's the high pressure pump.
I didn't get every fault code but I did get these:
P0087-72 and P0088-73 which when I google I see it could be fuel rail pressure sensor or fuel pressure regulator. If it is the high pressure fuel pump I'll probs sell it as none runner as I'm told body needs removing but really hope it's something easier
