Hi there, this is my first ever post on here, and im hoping someone could help. When I accelerate or De-accelerate, theres a big heavy clunk, which sounds like something transmission wise. Ive been searching for info before and got told its the a frame ball joint, but was underneath her earlier and that seems solid with a bar to it, and the uj's seem fine aswell. When I was turning the front prop, there was play in it, about quarter of a turn. Could someone point me in the direction of what should I check or do next to find out exactly what it could be. Many thanks, Rich.

Output shaft to transfer box input gear wear possibly

Round blank plate for pto off and input gear bearing plate off-few bolts and 2 gaskets.

Put transfer box in neutral and jiggle input gear out.

with right tools 5-10 mins disassemble time

Ahh rite, okay will have a look tomorrow hopefully, and is it something I could buy off the shelf new or what would be the best way about it? Ile report back what I have found. Thanks.

New gearbox output shaft and cross drilled gear if suffix c or later if you find wear

And that could be changed with out removing gearbox? Its a suffix E, from what I can see now, before I take the plate off to inspect it, will oil come out of there? And will I need a gasket to put back. Reason im askin as im currently on a tarmac drive and obviously dont want oil over it. Thanks.

Half inch square is oil level plug, gasket or later boxes instant gasket used- either way make sure cleaned and oil free (spay brake cleaner) and no it shouldn't drop masses of oil out

If you have auto box the zf adapter is ftc5090 for cross drilled transfer box gear.
