I have a discovery 3 tdv6, which I've owned since new (2 years in September). Car has done 28000 miles.
Since purchase I've raised issues with Shields Landrover in Glasgow regarding the Parking brake sticking / squeeling. As a result it was fixed / adjusted, then had to go back in to be fixed again (all within the first year).
Then parking brake fault on dashboard a few months ago meant car had to go in again. Dealer claimed it was a fault with the electronic parking brake switch and replaced it (under warranty). Yesterday I notice a terrible screeching from the rear of the car when braking.
Today I asked my neighbour who's a mechanic to take a look. Apparently the rear driver side brake pad has completely gone, to the extent that the disc is now badly scored.
Will now have to take into dealership first thing tomorrow morning (yet again) for repairs but feel I shouldn't have to fit the bill as there's clearly a fault with the parking brake.
Any guidance / experiences / thoughts anyone can offer would be much appreciated.
Cheers
