Hi all

I have just joined this site so am new to all this.I have a Disco 3 with 24000 km and purchased new last march.Since then we have had LD3 back to dealer at least 6 times with problems ranging from park assist failure to electronic problems with fault lights but mainly suspension failure. We were without it for over a week recently and got it back with mechanic claiming everything was sorted(dealer is very helpful and they try their best but faults are still there)but a few days later susp faults are back.We have had a freelander as replacement but today we got a rover 300 as replacement.

The problems with our Disco are going on over months now and I am wondering would I have an extended warranty case or maybe I should look for replacement vehicle.Does anybody else have similar problems or maybe offer advice as to what avenue I should take on this(more on what I would be entitled to rather than a guns blazing action with my dealer).I live in southern Ireland

Regards Martin

Sounds like you’ve got it bad. Yeah the extended warranty probably would be a good idea, even though its expensive, in most cases its even more expensive to fix the fault your self.
With ours the electronic brake locked up while we were driving, luckily we were only doing about 20mph at the time, apparently it was a pin in the braking system snapped. I think it must have been cracked since we bought it as it always bad a squeak when setting off with the electronic brake on and when it was being put on, but now there is no squeak at all.
