you may need to substitute white for small yellow when talking fuel lines also can be indicated by arrows in pointing at connector, out pointing away from connector you should be able to work out the other two visibly Steve

That’s fantastic @tyregeezer , thank u so much for that and great I now have a comparison

really finding ur thread extremely informative and impressive, alas most of it goes over my head, thks again for the filter information

No worries mate hats off to you everything down turbo side especially is a royal pain i probably have an actuator should this be your issue TY

Hi all removing crank today, big ends look fine, just need a polish rust on pork chops so will be pickled and cleaned oilways etc, block from another landy to be honed/cleaned fia shells ordered. Jag block will be re-bored/cleaned internal/external for my own long-term project. Oil pump doesn't seem to be oem. Taking to machine shop Monday (work keeps interfering with schedule) made a crank locking tool with the old jag pulley. Quick question does anyone know where i can buy an engineer's measuring bridge for measuring piston protrusion? keep the faith TY

Hi yes thanks now found a dial gauge bridge in states $58 just taking my time learning about tdv6 and all the bells and whistles TY

You should be able to find a dial gauge and stand in uk for 25-30 quid, and have the crankshaft crack tested !!

Yes you would think so I haven't as yet but will keep searching here in UK, Yes will do crank getting full Monty, block I am using re-faced and honed if measurements allow pistons are spotless bores have quite prominent cross hatch going to machine shop Monday, then starting stripping heads TY

Hi, all crank now out looks okish one main journal minor scoring hoping to have cleaned, tested and polished, Block I am going to use another block which is going to be refaced and honed, i have checked ring gap but don't have a data sheet at moment, pistons are all perfect for this block I will use the jag block for another project because of minor rust in bores I suspect it will need a rebore, Starting another motor top end rebuild for a 06. Quick question anyone know how to get the turbo feed filter out of the block? (See in pic) keep the faith TY

Hi all worked out how to get turbo oil filter out, it just pulls out with a pick the oil flows up to the head through the centre but is filtered to the turbo supply pipe (this will all be brake cleaned and blown out) Another good reason to change your oil twice a year let alone the bottom end frailty's regardless of mileage, sorry my opinion, keep the faith all TY

Hi All few pics of heads decided to use the jag heads, starting their strip down tomorrow going to start by cleaning the gunge out of inlets and rocker covers, mild valve grind, new stem seals good clean and re assemble checking out everything especially lifters (have spares) ordered gaskets and sealant. Yogurt pots, @gstuart will like this lol, are good for valve storage the small compartment stores lifters covered with oil everything else fits in the bigger compartment everything goes back where it came from. Also, it had a bad oil leak so will be replacing bottom end gaskets and all seals was told oil pump only 5000 miles old i think this was when the oil leak was caused keep the faith TY

Hi all finally took the crank for the other motor to Ivor Searle at Soham quite impressed huge operation, check it out online, they do all jobs on tdv6 most helpful and their only 12 miles away. The big ends they can just polish spot on, mains may need grind it has to pass crack test first. While I was in the office a machinist came over and looked at the crank then at me and smiled, manager said he likes his tdv6s (not sure what this all meant lol) Taking the block over this week for hone and reface (wife wouldn't let me put it in her car). Heads for the other motor are also going over for a skim, after I have checked out the seats and de-gunged all the ports I give them a one-minute lap with fine this usually shows up any pits etc looking for a nice even seal will finish when they return. Note the bits of plastic on the bench they were wedged in the second inlet port but hadn't got to the valve they are the butterflies from the air box amazing what you find lots of cleaning this weekend to avoid surcharges keep the faith TY
