Hi all

I have been round in circles as to if I should sell this or move it to Gran Canaria where I live now, decided to put it back up for sale and if not I guess I will drive her over here to retire haha.

It's the V8, it's in great condition and the gear box changes really nicely, very solid and has the locking diff! And only around 100 miles but will need a little work on the back section of the chassis rails in time, the engineer that completed the inspection report when I bought it said it doesn't need anything for a few years yet. Other than that, it's a very solid old Landy. See the Ebay or Gumtree adds for more of a list of what it's had etc, or message me direct.

She is in too good condition to keep in Spain for some camping and off-roading really and not going to be my daily as I travel for work a lot she will be sitting idle, so I would be interested in a swap for something more appropriate of a few weekends away with the boy in the mountains, maybe a series or a defender.

Let me know if anyone is interested, and we can chat and share more pics, located in Cornwall near Truro.

£5000 ono

Hi John

Well let's put it this way, youre not helping dismantle Putin's oil financed war effort in Ukraine that's for sure.!
I have an Ultra Guage in the car so have the figures, it gets 20mpg maybe 20plus on a good motorway, 17mph combines is good and around 15mpg on the traffic filled crawl, your enemies are traffic and roundabouts. But if it's being used for fun and trips away it's ok. I was using it for work commuting last year and it was manageable.

The chassic has the usual issues in the rear quarter but when I had it inspected by an independent landy specialist he said it wasn't that bad and didn't need any attention for a few years (I have the inspe tion documents). But it will need patching in the rear quarter at some point. But that's the only issues on the whole vehicle so it's not to bad at all, that's why it's not an £8000 example really.

Thanks buddy any more questions let me know.

Thanks very much. Interesting re the fuel. These days with my diesel disco doing low 20s to mid 20s, and the price difference (And lack of insanity over diesel at the pumps), I am sorely tempted to pull the plug and go petrol, or maybe even consider LPG although that seems to be a fad which has had its day now! I will have a think, being skint doesn't help but if i could borrow the funds to bridge me over to selling my disco it might be doable. Will let you know if i can consider it realistically. thanks again
