Good afternoon all.
My 1998 Discovery 2 TD5 10p suddenly broke down, steering went stiff, brake pedal stiff and engine cut out.
Engine turns over fine, but doesn't start. Won't bump start either.
I can hear the pump pushing fuel, albeit struggling. As per the video there is a trickle noise by the fuel regulator, but no leaks. (Fuel regulator less than a year).
I have had the pump running numerous times.
( The oil over level may be because I just tried turning the engine over, I can't smell fuel in the oil).
I'm not sure if the trickle noise is simply the fuel returning to the tank.
Am I looking at something sinister here or is it just a case of seals? Normally it runs and drives lovely
