I have a 2002 DIscovery 2 ES with SLS combined with ABS which has been stood inactive for some time.
The SLS compressor has failed (again) and has now been replaced (again). It now appears to be working OK.
I have a battery drain of 3A which has been identified as going through Fuse 11 which leads to the SLS/ABS ECU and a new flashing LCD warning signal which looking like the figure '8' with an additional diagonal line from top left to bottom right across it. I presume that this is an ABS warning indication.
Are there any experts out there who would please provide a suggestion as to where my fault may be and how to test for it?
Thanks in anticipation.

ps, I have registered previously but I was unable to recover my login.

Bad news, it can have various symptoms and can be fixed only one way https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/please-help-no-crank-no-start.296713/#post-3692921

Thank you. I have had a very leaky sunroof (as many others have had) and I suspect water has got into the electrics including the BCU. I also have trouble with the central locking/locks and alarm but it does seem to drive OK. I'm hoping that once I have isolated the current leak that the other solutions will follow. Well, I can hope, can't I?

Haha, I am resigned to the fact that my Disco is now worth as much in parts as it is in one piece.

I'd say to hell with the market value - what's it worth to you is what really counts.

A quick check for a functional IDM - BCU link is to operate the intermittent wipers, hazard lamps and electric windows, although your issue with the door lock actuators could already indicate that there is a problem with BCU - IDM communications. I'd also verify that the instrument pack is working as it should since it shares the same bus with the IDM & BCU. For instance, the indicator lamps are operated by the IDM.
