I have a Discovery 2, 2001 year with 90,000 miles which I have owned from new
The car is in excellent condition and has been main dealer serviced from new with no expense spared
Unfortunately the chassis has corroded beyond repair and I have been quoted £5,000 for new chassis and full mechanical overhaul (new brake pipes, removal of ace system, 1new wheel bearing etc) - this quote is from an independant garage, the main dealer has quoted £4,500 to get the vehicle through MOT and that excludes any chassis work (assuming it can be saved)
Has anyone done something similar?
