I’m back
my mate has 2 seats for the boot of a disco 2 they are from an es model and are beige leather,he wants to set up a buy now on ebay as he wants some dosh asap.what should he ask for them?

I think this is a 'how long is a piece of string' question.
There seemed to be no general approach regarding seat prices, over christmas I was keeping my eye out for Disco 1 and rangie leather seats and the prices are all over the shops.
I bought a full 7 seat set of absolutley mint beige leather seats for a Disco 1 for £200, but had to take them back because of the fittings they were from a 95 and my 98 was completley different set up (ithey change in 96 if I remember correctly). Where as I've seen the same set again for anywhere between £300 - £650
At the time I saw many different sets of seats just fronts, just dickie seats, and
I saw the seats you are talking about for buy it now anywhere between £60 to £150...
Just to let you know it's a strange market out there, hope someone else can help you out.

My experience of ebay is to take the amount you will be happy to accept for the item, then half it as the start price and don't bother with Buy it Now or a reserve ... and start it at 6pm Sunday on a 7 day auction ... 
Then hope someone will want it, the lower price will hopefully attract bids. However, for a full set of seats it's a pretty limited market, not something that's a spontaneous buy so it maybe better to BIN ...

I want to get a 7-seat Disco 2 but there are several 5-seat models around at the right price, is it straightforward / possible to fit seats 6 & 7 to a 5-seat model? If so I'd be interested in the pair for sale.

Should be fairly straightforward but you'll need to get the roof mounted head restraints and associated trim as well. And I am sure I have read somewhere that they should only be fitted to air sprung models as only they have type approval for seven seats
