Hi all, I’ve been working on my discovery 2 and the hazards and indicators now have an issue. They were working fine and all of a sudden they flash once when turned on and then stop. The dash lights up once too, makes a funny clicking noise and then stops. Has anyone had this issue before?

I had a blown indicator bulb (in bumper) which made mine flash like crazy, and even when replaced (easy) it took several seconds pause before working again. I assumed a control module was doing some wiring/resistance checks before deciding all was OK.
So I suggest - check your bulbs and /or earth points, starting with the area you've been working on. ?
Blown bulbs are not always obvious to the naked eye, I sometimes use a jewelers loupe to see the filament close-up before I can see the break. :vb-weyes:

Of course, it might not be any of these, but I hope it's something simple & worth checking these first.🤞

Thank you for your response. I will have another look tomorrow as unplugged all of the lights and it still continued to have the issue. Will let you know

The bulbs have nothing to do with what you described in the first post, that can be an IDM(interior fusebox) or more likely a BCU fault.

The indicators on my TD5 work fine when the ignition is on but stop working when I turn on the engine, any ideas?
