The dashboard display on my 2001 Discovery 2 TD5 stopped working. The garage has replaced it with a used one of the same serial numbers, but this isn't working either. They have plugged it in to the computer, but no luck. Apparently their electrical guy is looking into it and has another D2 with the same problem.

Does anyone have any experience of this and/or know a cure?

By "dashboard display" do you mean instrument pack or what? also how it stopped working? you should describe better what's what to get help

Err Yes If that's what its called then yes the instrument pack has stopped working. No speedo, No rev counter, No mileage display, No fuel gauge, No temp gauge. Most of the ignition lights come on then go off. Night illumination works.

I was driving along and it died, came back for a few seconds about three times then nothing.

Check fuse F13 engine bay fusebox if that's OK an contact and earth check is needed at the connectors on top of the instrument pack, earth point for that is under the driver's side footwell

Thanks for the info, I'll pass that on and get it checked. Well, I can check the fuse myself.............
