Hi Guy's.
New member "Today" hope you can help.
I also have a td5 ,year 2004 with the same problem suspension going down occasionally started about 3 weeks ago
It will stop up for a few days and another time it will go down in a few hours, but always raises "at the moment" . Do i just need new air bags. as I dont want to burn the pump out

Hi, i have purchased an accident damaged 2002 discovery td5, the damage is light and to the nsf corner, it will require a light, indicator, bumper, wing and a bonnet repair. my issue is whilst playing i pressed the suspension ride hight button and the rear of the car lowered and now will not raise. i understand that all the doors need to be closed, does this also include the bonnet as that switch also needs replacing. if not what other items do i need to check out?
cheers

Hi There Guys....My story begins.
Turned on the ignition and the rear dropped all the way....tow bar on the ground!!!!!Then tested opening valves...all okay!I then connected power directly to valves and pump and inflated each side individually...that was fun running around with a tape measure to each wheel Arch. The minute I re-connected the valves the suspension dropped again....even after a short drive hoping it would inflate....started process over again and manually inflated bags...left the opening valve plug wires off and travelled up to the auto-electrician(Had to deal with the nasty beeping though)Reset 21 faults but no luck with Pump coming on automatically.Reset air in bags manually again...and left valve plug wires off.I don't suspect bad Airbags as the stay up and only go down if I plug in the opening Valve wires.....Why is the signal not getting to the Pump to re-inflate....checked all necessary fuses and re-lays.....please help...considering coils or a 4x4 change!
1. What faults did u cleare ? .... they must have had a description.
2. Did u check the SLS relay ?...cos this one is feeding the compressor...the valves are controlled directly by the ECU.
3. Did u try to push ORM switch?
4. Unplug the exhaust valve, not the air supply valves...see what happens
5. Check the connectors on the height sensors.
I hope u disconnected the battery before u replaced the air bags....anyway, unplug the battery, swap the height sensors, jack up the back to about 2/3 of the normal height, reconnect battery and try then.
