Hi Guys

I want to check the oil level on my discovery ES V8i 1995, does any member have a gearbox diagram of where the filler and drain plug are located.

Anyadvice would be appreciated.

fill thru the dipstick and drain plug on the g/box sump

Hi Nathan

I don't think it has a dip stick, I havent noticed one when working around the vehicle.

is it auto or manual cos if its manual there will be a level plug on the side of the box so ya's need to slide underneath the car and looks up once ya found it undo it on level ground then stick ya finger in and see if it gets oily also you fill it up thorogh this hole and as for draining it there should be another plug on the bottom of the box. Also same with transfer box. manual box use ATF dexron 111 and for t box use ep80. hope that helps that is if its a manual box if its an auto then some one else will afta elp ya

Thanks for that information, it is a manual gearbox, is the filler plugs on the driver or passenger side?
