hi,

is there a certain way that baby seats fit in a discovery? its a 1991 discovery, anyone had any problems ??

thanks

what sort of baby seat is it? most modern ones just fit into the inertia seatbelt.if its a modern one its not the car that has the problem, its the installer ;)

rear facing child seats do need a longer seat belt but foward facing ones fit ok
are you sure about this, i was under the impression that rear facing baby seats were designed to fit in standard seatbelts.

but i could be wrong;)

only going on my own experiance here but the majority of cars and 4x4's i have owned i have always had a problem with rear facing child seats

so what would you say i should do? buy longer seat belts, (do they do them) or get another baby seat thats front facing?

help......

you can buy extensions fer seat belts.. i've seen some fat b'stards with them. dunno where you get them as i don't need them meself..yet

Hiya, I have a foward facing childs seat in the back of my Discovery 1 (n/s), I had to remove the plastic stop lug in the belt to allow the clip more movement down the belt and trim the bottom corner of the childs seat to sit on the wheel arch.

When I had the rear facing childs seat (one you carry from baby age) I bought the seat base that fits in the car and the childs seat just pops on top and clips in place securing it to the base. It was fitting with the centre lap belt.

If you go to mothercare they will tell you what seat fits in what cars!
Not alot by the way!
