Hi all has anyone had any issues with a discovery 1 getting water into the passenger side foot well. I have recently stripped out the interior of my discovery to paint the floors and fit sound deadening. The floor was getting wet prior to this. I found a drain tube on the gearbox tunnel that had come away assuming it was that. Its still getting water in. Any ideas is there a sunroof drain on that side or anything else that might be doing it.
I take it you have a sunroof? Does it drip down the a pillar? @The Mad Hat Man im sure you did a write up on this somewhere?

Drain tube on the gearbox tunnel? I have haven’t clue on why, was that underneath the carpet and what was it draining?.
After removing the below dash covering you will see up and behind the bank of relays an overlapping seam of of metal for footwell and rear of inner wheel arch it’s a long seam down from the dash top which maybe sealed incorrectly and therefore letting in water.
Next time it’s raining check the seal out for drips, you will need your bright touch so see what is what, I had to run a thin bead of sealant on 2 inches of the seam many years ago, had a drip around one a minute in the rain, but that is enough to make the floor wet overnight.

If it has A/C check the evaporator matrix condensate drain tubes, the peristaltic valves on the ends that protrude to just above the gearbox commonly block with fluff and dust then the drain channel runs over onto either side floor.
Rust and mud trap rot through from mud flap bracket ...
