Hello one and all,
We have an M-reg Discovery 300 TDI AUTO that has been brutally operated on to make it a manual.
It's MOT time soon, and i am afraid i can't get rid of the ABS warning light. I have done the code reading progress mentioned on here, but still it flashes what looks like 1-3, but may be 3-1 i might not have sussed this out yet.
From the turn of the key it flashes one long, one short then three short, one short then repeats the process. I am reading this as 3-1 fault code.
Has anyone got any ideas, and also would this old beast have and ABS ECU if so what is it?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
My eyes have gone square searching, maybe not typing the right thing in on the searches, but i am trying.
Cheers

It's now booked into a LR specialist a week Monday. Will post the results. Hopefully the Beast will get sorted.
It's defo code 3-1, but no idea how to cure this. Hope my results help others when it's looked at. Cheers

Thank you very much nrgserv.
I'm hoping it's a simple fix. It's booked in for a pre-MOT with the local Land Rover specialist. I am sure he will suss it out. I will have another look at her if it stops raining today but unsure if i could do much with that code.

So, update... Changed the ABS ECU for another one and now flashing up 4-14 front left speed sensor. No longer 3-1.
It's an easier fault to look at I guess.

Anyone got tips on how you remove the front left ABS speed sensor?
My one appears to go in the top of the hub. Read lots of just knock it in posts, but i can't shift my one. It has a plastic/ rubber grommet looking thing where the wire enters the hub.
I don't want to twist it incase it breaks.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Story so far...both front wheel sensors replaced by Landrover man, now showing open circuit on both?
Still no MOT :(
