Hi onmydiscovery 1 when you switch the headlights on the side lights come on and the main beam light on the dash comes on but but neither the dip or dim lights come on? i thought the relay could be shagged, but not sure where it is?

Any advice would be great! Cheers

Very likely the 3 pin connectors to the headlamp bulbs have melted or just fallen to bits. Common problem.

Check fuses
Main fuse 4 in engine comp box
4 5 10 11 in facia box

fuse 4 infacia also covers instrument cluster so if that lights up fuse should be OK
if they have gone, check and find out why, or buy a fire extinguisher

Bit check the lamp connectos as hughesy says as well to make sure
