I have the same tank guard now £50 from eBay. The side of the guard goes on the inside of the chassis so you can't get anything in the two hole at the back because the fuel tank is in the way.

When you guys fitted these tank guards did you take out the old tank holder and fit the guard or fit it over the top
 
Fitted over the top m8 , once the plough is removed , its a 20 min job to fit

The rear most mount hole line up with nothing at all , just ignor them , the guard cannot drop as its mounted to chassis at the bumper and the middle .

I fit brand new 10.8 bolts ( dad runs a fixings factory ) so cheap

Two people is a must to hold it safely and line it up .

Mine has a removable tow eye attachment with built in jack point,and a multi position standard tow ball attachment .
 
Looking at the bolts at front of tank do they go thru xhassis then put a nut on or do i need 2 keep the frame
