Have an 'L' reg Discovery 1 3.9 V8 with automatic gearbox.
All working well but have acquired a 300 tdi engine also from a Discovery ('M' reg) fitted with manual gearbox. Know history of this engine. In excellent condition.
Am told that engine will fit ok but flywheel and torque converter will need to be changed on the tdi engine.
Is this correct?
Any other modifications to the tdi engine required?
Any advice/information would be very much appreciated
Have radiator, hoses, fuel filter etc. from donor vehicle.

you need the auto engine rear plate plus drive plate assembly, v8 valve block in box is best changed fot the tdi one as,v8 block isnt well matched to tdi
