Isn’t hindsight a wonderful thing, I brought my Discovery new in 1990 and went to town with all the bells and whistles, bull bars /lights /sidesteps/ rear ladder/ roof rack/ Longrange fuel tank and many more besides,
Little did I know that fitting so genuine Land Rover front mudflats would come back to bite in the arse nearly 30 later,
She has been layed up for the last 10 years awaiting my retirement to put her back on the road,
That slipped a little due to another project but decided to get on and do it,
Knowing the outer sills were a bit cruddy I started there, removed the passenger seat and carpet and extra
Sound proofing and this is what I found :(

Pictures didn’t upload, hopefully they are in this one, DCEADC58-BB15-4722-AC2F-9D2CA48CFA98.jpeg

Quite normal, they all look like that these days.

Look at my build thread, loads in there about how bad it gets.

Agreed but if I hadn’t fitted front mud flaps when I purchase the Discovery then they wouldn’t have
Rusted away completely leaving the four holes to let water in to the footwells,
As I said hindsight is a wonderful thing!
No matter have ordered the footwell repair panels and A pillar repair bracket,
Just means an extra couple of months working,
