i bought a disco2 about 6 months ago, 65000 on the clock, one owner, good nick but i thought the steering a little vague bearing in mind i have driven most of landrovers offerings so know what to expect ,so i adjusted the box as prescribed, seemed better but have had to do it again seems o.k. again but does this look like a new box is going to be needed soon.

Hi John I have a disco TD5 with just about the same miles as yours and my steering is perfect seems low miles for you to need another Box?

My TD5 had vague steering. Couldn't find cause at all. In desperation I swapped the back wheels to the front and it was totally fixed. Uneven wear on the fronts caused the problem.

If you do get a new box i would strongly advise one from LR, either new or an LR recon...Ive supplied recons from other well known suppliers & they have been rebuilt so many times they last a year & give up again
