My 2002 TD5 has not been getting very cool in the last few warmer days. I've had the gas recharged at KwikFit and no imporvement. What can I check out please?

have the charge rechecked - you might have a leak.

was it charged on full cold air conn?

Had the same problem, discovered that the pipe to the dryer where it passed the nearside horn had rubbed against the body and perished the pipe, this was not noticeable to the naked eye and took the A/C system to be filled with dye and checked under UV light. New pipe and a re gas - sorted.

Same thing happened on my car last week.
But in that case refilling isn`t possible.

Also had the same pipe fail on mine, but it was dissimilar metal corrosion that caused it between the ali pipe and the steel P clip. I dont think lots of muddy wading water "helped" it tho.........

The problem with a Kwik fit re-gas is it can only do a vacumm test, and 99% of the time to find a leak you need a pressure test with nitrogen and some bubbly water, or add some dye as explained above.

Took quite a LOT of pressure to find my leak tbh, yet it passed the vac test at kwik fit no problem at all.
