I need to fit my Disco wing(s) back on.....
between the outer and inner wing (where it is bolted along the top) is a layer of thick bitumastic, or summat similar. where can I get this stuff or summat better?

oh - and by the way - roofing screws - those with built in washer and rubber seal are ideal for bolting it back together :D.

You could use mastic the stuff that comes in a tube like silicone just let it go off for a bit before assembly its there to stop reaction between the ali and steel thats what i used to do on the series.
You can get the same stuff on a roll but f**k knows where

Just found this MHM ?

thats good stuff, we use sikaflex to seal caravans, the pins u want are 'tek pins' used to have boxes ov em

i have half a roll of ten m/m neoprene strip with a sticky tape on one side. i will use this when i replace the wings on my discovery. there is a place in derby opposite rollerworld skating rink that sells all kinds of rubber and neoprene to all kinds of applications. i would say dont use silicone get a propper seam sealer type stuff for auto applications.

u cud use caravan sealent the stuff that comes on a roll and seals for years, towsure sell it and ive sin it on ebay too

You can use any mastic sikaflex type sealant in a tube, or use dum dum, which is probably what is there. The caravan non drying sealer is good stuff!
