Hope whoever buys them realises they are illegal to use on the road on a P38. Speedo will read less than true speed. Just to add it is only illegal according to a copper or jobsworth with a speed gun, who seem keen on doing people for 1 mph over the limit in a 30 zone. They can actually only enforce this on cars made 2001 or up. ;):D

@wammers, I need your advice here as I cannot see how 265/70/R16 can cause an underspeed reading when 235/70/R16 are one of the sizes specified in Rave, I assume the wheels pictured are J7 as the wall size is 70 which is the only size wall for the J7 wheel. Cannot see how a wider tyre would cause this. A different wall or rim size I can understand.

265/70/R16 is a bigger total diameter
235/70/R16 is aa smaller total diameter
Basically the wall height is 70% of 265 so the overall diameter is larger so will give a different reading but may be in the spec

Ah I see. I always thought the second figure was the wall height in mm, did not realise that it was a percentage of tyre width.

They are bit bigger than standard when you see them, but smaller and less wide than 32’s on my P38 which needs 2” lift fit them on properly
