to start with, will only start with all doors shut, is this standard or reverse switch fault?
secondly, if I push the drivers door lock down it doesn't lock the other doors? I also cannot get the car into the mode to program the single blip remote. any help guys and girls? thanks

What year?
Mines a 200 series 1994 and I can start mine up with doors open.
With the lock my passenger door does something like that. It's broken :(
So dunno about yours, but it would appear something may not be right, but then again, I may be comparing an early one to a later model one.

Why not post an introduction and a photo of your disco, before you expect a load of advice

didn't know I had to post an introduction to dispense help from what I thought would've been a more than helpful community. I'll post an intro then let the knowledge flow👍

There's clearly some sort of electrical fault if all the doors must be closed for the vehicle to start.
Operating the lock pin should activate the central locking on all other doors including the tailgate. Time to get the drivers door card off and investigate.

hi there. I've got the drivers door card off, everything is connected on the latch end. is it possible a faulty latch/ actuator would stop it?
or if the alarm or the locking ECU was disconnected would that do it too?
